Client Spotlight - Mabry Custom Homes

For this months’s Client Spotlight, we had the pleasure of chatting with Mabry Custom Homes based in Heath, Texas.

PLEASE TELL US ABOUT MABRY CUSTOM HOMES:

We have been building luxury resort style custom homes since 1998, each home being unique and one-of-a-kind. At Mabry Custom Homes (MCH), we are committed to working closely with our clients to help bring their desires to life. We want every step of the process to be a positive experience. We aren't just building a custom home...we listen to the dreams, must-haves, and ideas of the client and combine them into a consolidated vision for the luxury home of their dreams. 

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN THE BUSINESS?:

Darren Mabry, the foudner of Mabry Custom Homes, started learning the business at 17 years of age. His passion for carpentry, architecture and mechincal drafting, has made him an avid learner throughout his career. He worked in the Highland  Park North Dallas area from '84 - '98 building knowledge and learning the industry. Today, 30+ years later, his work speaks for itself. MCH builds luxury, resort style homes starting at $1.5M plus. 

WHAT WAS SPECIAL/UNIQUE ABOUT THE PROJECT RECLAIMED DESIGNWORKS PROVIDED MATERIAL FOR?:

The spec house at Rustic Ridge in Heath, evolved into a Texas Modern design early on. We were looking for ways to bring barn wood into the project to keep the rustic feel, yet have a modern aesthetic. We combined the barn wood from RDW with sawn stone to create a Texas Modern look throughout the design. The reclaimed barn wood brings the full spectrum of color, texture and warmth we were trying to achieve by meshing a modern and rustic design together. 

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT WORKING WITH RECLAIMED DESIGNWORKS?:

We love Reclaimed DesignWorks' personal approach. Everyone listened to our design needs, and helped us pull off the design we were trying to achieve.
