Rough Sawn Beams

Rough sawn beams are typically longleaf yellow pine or fir and were used as structural members in old factories and warehouses.  These beams are heavy and stable and are best suited for structural applications.  They are often also referred to as circular sawn beams and have old original face patina on all 4 sides.  They will have nail holes, bolt holes, checking, etc, but will rarely have any mortise and tenon pockets.
