Our reclaimed antique hit-skip oak has a warm and inviting color palette. Chocolates, ruddy browns and hints of ocher, make antique hit-skip oak one of our most popular floors. Similar in hue and patina to reclaimed oak, antique hit-skip oak flooring is exceptionally rugged, thanks to years of exposure which provide it with its naturally distressed character. Made from 100-percent reclaimed wood joists, rafters, granary boards, siding and floor boards found in old barns and wooden structures in the American East and Midwest, reclaimed antique hit-skip oak provides a sturdy, hard-wearing surface that’s well suited for high traffic areas and perfect for homes with children and pets.
Attributes of Antique Hit-Skip Oak Flooring
Our reclaimed antique hit-skip oak planks prominently feature a mixture of saw marks, nail holes, sound cracks, checking and wormholes. Most of the wood’s original, exposed face is preserved giving it a more natural appearance. Antique hit-skip oak flooring has a sturdy, hard-wearing surface and is a highly durable floor.
